    WestLand's engineering, landscape architecture, and environmental staff are supported by an experienced design, drafting, and cartography department. Our design/drafting staff is experience in right-of-way, boundary, and detailed civil engineering design. The software available for design includes AutoCAD, SoftDesk, Intergraph Microstation, WaterCAD, AutoCAD Map, and ARC/VIEW.

    Our GIS Department has over 20-person-years experience in GIS, Geospatial Analysis, and Cartography. Capabilities include thematic mapping, vector and raster analysis, surface modeling, line-of-sight analysis, slope and aspect analysis, automated watershed delineation, 3-D perspective visualization, and fly-through visualization.

    Software used for entering, analyzing, and displaying geospatial data includes MicroImages TNTmips, ArcView, ArcCad, ArcMap, and AutoCAD Map. Westland is capable of importing and exporting most types of GIS files, including ArcInfo coverages, ArcInfo export, ArcInfo Generate, Shapefiles, DLG, DEM, as well as flat and relational databases. Raster capabilities include IKONOS, LANDSAT, DEM, SPOT, TIFF, and JPEG.
